Rahman assures Aamir : Lagaan to release on June 1:

Just yesterday, I had informed you about the meeting Aamir Khan was supposed to have with the worldwide distributors of LAGAAN. The meeting, held on May 4 at 12.30 p.m. at his office, was called to discuss the release date of the film. So what transpired in the meeting? Heres oven-fresh news LAGAAN financier Jhamu Sugandh tells me that the distributors were unanimous that the film should be released on June 1. As things stand today, we will release the film on June 1. The reason for the postponement was the delay in the post-production of the film. But A.R. Rahman has decided to speed up things and help us stick to our original date of June 1. Aamir is also keen to stick to the original date. However, a clear picture will emerge on Saturday evening (May 5, 2001). Stay tuned to IndiaFM. We will get the latest info again.
