Malegaon Ka Superman actor Shaikh Shafique passes away

The makers of Malegaon Ka Superman got a shock of their lives, as the lead actor of the film Shaikh Shafique (28) passed away. Shafique, who was suffering from throat cancer, succumbed to the illness early today morning. His funeral will be held later in the day today.

 

In Malegaon Ka Superman, Shaikh Shafique's character campaigns against tobacco and gutkha consumption. But the irony was that, in real life, he himself was addicted to gutkha and became a victim to throat cancer.

Just yesterday, a special premiere of the film was organised by the local artist group as a special Eid gift to Shafique. The screening saw producers Bohra Brothers and Anurag Kashyap grace the event.
