Khamoshiyan makers acquire the rights of 'Aayega Aane Wala'

Mahesh Bhatt has taken the rights of the iconic song 'Aayega Aane Wala' from yesteryear hit film Mahal for his forthcoming supernatural film Khamoshiyan. The original track picturised on Ashok Kumar and Madhubala was sung by the Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar. The song was a humoungous hit and the film directed by Kamal Amrohi became one of the most memorable movies in the history of Indian cinema. Mahal (1949) is the country's first ever reincarnation thriller.

 

Commenting on the acquisition of the song, Mahesh Bhatt says, "'Aayega Aane Wala' plays at a very crucial juncture in the film Khamoshiyan. It is such an iconic song and we wanted to use the song to heighten the mood of supernatural in the film."

Khamoshiyan starring Gurmeet Choudhary, Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi is set to release on January 30.
