In a last minute decision, it was decided to postpone Jackie Shroff's Govinda starrer 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai' by one week. The film was originally scheduled for release on October 6, but it will now hit the screens on October 13. Reason: 'Shikari' and 'Astitva'.
Well, you see, it was decided against releasing the film in direct opposition to the two films because it would be suicidal to release two Govinda starrers on the same day (both 'Shikari' and 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai' star Chichi in the lead). Besides, two Mahesh Manjrekar films ('Astitva' and 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai' have been made by the same director) coming in the same week would have been a wrong step too.
Good sense prevailed and 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai' opted out of the Dashehra race!
