Anand Bakshi's lyrics used in Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai

The makers of the movie Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai will be using lyrics written by the late lyricist Anand Bakshi in their film. Producer Ashim Samantha has acquired the rights of the lyrics from Anand Bakshi's sons to compose these songs.

 

Anand Bakshi has been associated with the industry for almost 40 years and contributed to more than 4000 songs. He has written the lyrics for films like Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Sholay, Kati Patang, DDLJ, Dil To Paagal Hai and Taal to name a few.

Music director Anu Malik says, "I was working on the music of Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai when Ashim came up to me and asked me to read a few lyrics. I loved it immediately. That is when he declared that the lyrics are by Anand Bakshi. Anandji will always live in our hearts through his music. I shared a very close equation with him and it delights me to continue composing his lyrics. Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai is a passionate love saga and you need lyrics which emote. Anandji's songs are the perfect fit. I am glad we got the required permissions."

 

Producer Ashim Samanta, who is ecstatic to get the rights for Anand Bakshi's lyrics, says, "We are delighted to get rights for Anand Ji's lyrics. 'Pyar Karna Na Tha' will be the title track of the film and we are sure that the audiences will love the song."
