Abhishek Banerjee, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi come together for Bharat Bala’s Mahasangam

Virtual Bharat is proud to announce their upcoming feature film, Mahasangam, a powerful exploration of family, legacy, and music, set amidst the world’s largest gathering of humanity – the Mahakumbh. The film delves into the complex dynamics of a father, son, and daughter caught in a poignant struggle over a musical inheritance, offering an evocative story of love, conflict, and the power of tradition.

The film stars an interesting cast featuring Abhishek Banerjee, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami in the lead roles. Mahasangam is directed by the visionary Bharat Bala, with the extensive musical score composed by the Oscar-winning maestro A.R. Rahman. Further talking about the film, Bharat Bala also posted details on his official Instagram page along with the first look of the upcoming entertainer.

 

Speaking about the film, director Bharat Bala said, “Mahasangam is Virtual Bharat and my tribute to the world's largest gathering of humanity, the Maha Kumbh Mela, that concluded today. This is a story that delves into complex layers of human emotions, and unfolds at an unprecedented gathering of pilgrims. This is a story that dives deep into a journey of redemption, inheritance and music, narrated through the three lead characters.”

 

 

Furthermore, talking about putting together the team, Bala added, “I’m immensely proud and fortunate to direct this film, especially with the incredible talent backing it. From the legendary A.R. Rahman coming on board to do the music to an absolutely outstanding cast and with the blessings of Ajoy Chakroborty, a stalwart of Hindustani classical music — each one of them adds something special to this journey”.

 

Meanwhile, not too long Abhishek Banerjee was spotted in Prayagraj, where many celebrities were taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. He was not only seen attending the bhajans but he was also spotted participating in the auspicious Maha Aarti, showcasing his spiritual side.
