Making a sequel isn't easy job and that too if the sequel is of 2010 hit ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI,but Milan Luthria does a pretty good job with the sequel.
He always said that he will never make a sequel of OUATIM till he didn't gets a different story and he finally made this film only because this time the film is not about power, this time it's about love.
Those who say that there's not enough action in the film,I would like to remind them the tag line of the film which clearly states that this time it's personal, but the film still has good action moments.
Story wise, the film is fine.Editing by Akiv Ali could have been sharper and the action is good, keeping in the mind the story.Production design is very good and u feel like u r into the 80's.Cinematography is good and the parts in which Oman is shown,u feel like u need to go to that place as its captured so beautifully.
Performance wise,Akshay Kumar delivers the best performance of his career and the dialogues spoken by him are a delight to hear.He has that charisma and personality and it reflects in his performance. Now I understand why the hell Ekta Kapoor was so keen to have him for the sequel replacing Emraan Hashmi as Shoaib.
Sonakshi Sinha as the love interest of both the hero n Villain is good and shows her emotions well throughout the film.
Imran Khan tries something different this time and he succeeds. As Akshay's protege,he has done a fine job.
Sonali Bendre gives an intense performance in a short cameo.Rest of the cast has done well.
Rajat Aroraa has written the best dialogues I've ever heard from a Villain and they create a solid impact when Akshay speaks them. His songs are also good and even the climax was pretty unpredictable.Pritam's music is fine and he also attempts something different.
Overall,in duration of approx.160 minutes,I didn't got bored at all for even a single minute or frame and enjoyed the film to the core.I got what I expected from the film ie ENTERTAINMENT,ENTERTAINMENT and ENTERTAINMENT !!
Take a bow,all of u as u have made another BLOCKBUSTER and if u decide to make OUATIM 3,do cast Akshay again if possible !!!
