Yash recently opened up about his favourite Telugu songs during the promotions of his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The pan-India star named a couple of tracks that he enjoys listening to and also had special praise for music composer Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as DSP.
Yash names his favourite Telugu songs
During a recent promotional interaction, Yash was asked about the Telugu songs he enjoys and often finds himself humming. The actor was quick to name two popular tracks. “I love that 'Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh.' I like one more song, 'Aakaleste Annam Pedta,'” Yash said.
Both songs are associated with Telugu cinema and have remained popular with audiences over the years. Yash's mention of the tracks also reflected his familiarity with music from the Telugu film industry.
Yash calls DSP a ‘dear friend’
Yash went on to speak about his equation with DSP and expressed his admiration for the composer's work across Telugu cinema. “All the DSP songs. He is a dear friend. All his songs I really like,” the actor said.
The comment highlighted the friendship between the two artistes, who come from different regional film industries but share a rapport beyond their professional work.
Yash is gearing up for Toxic
Yash is currently preparing for the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26, 2026, after several delays. It is among the major pan-India releases of the year and has generated considerable interest among Yash's fans across different languages.
