The Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam released in China a week ago. However, unlike previous Bollywood releases in this market the business of the film did not really see a massive spate of collections. After a slow start the collections of Drishyam at the China box office witnessed a steady yet slow increase. Now at the close of its first week at the China box office, Drishyam has managed to draw in USD 1 million [Rs. 7.64 cr].
After a slow start, the business of Drishyam saw its collections increase over the week. In fact, the Ajay Devgn starrer managed to draw in a further USD 120,000 [Rs. 0.91 cr.] on Day 7, with another USD 130,000 [Rs. 0.99 cr] on Day 8. Though the increase in collections is rather minimal, the low key box office turn out is being attributed to the resurgence of the Covid-19 virus that has sent certain locations into lockdown again.
Going forward, the business of Drishyam at the China box office is not expected to see much of an increase in the coming days. Though the weekend business of the film could see a slight increase, it will not leave a mark on the film’s overall business.
