Vidya tracks down her secret admirer : Bollywood News

For Vidya Balan, there were definite perks that came in after turning 'jasoos' for her next week's release Bobby Jasoos. While shooting for her film, she received a few love letters that were not just scribbled in poor handwriting but also got into unmentionable zone, as far as language and content were concerned. Though she was understandably hassled to begin with, some quick presence of mind saved the day for her.

"This happened in her hotel room and that too a couple of times," informs our source, "Whenever Vidya returned from her shoot in the evening, she used to find a love letter (if it can be called one!) Lying on her bed. It started getting a bit annoying for her as she couldn't fathom its source. It was marked anonymous and Vidya wasn't too impressed with the manner in which the emotions were conveyed."

Though she did suspect someone from the unit playing a prank on her, Vidya decided to do some fact finding on her own and immediately approached the hotel management.

"Vidya requested them for the CCTV footage and sat down with the security people to figure who all had entered her room while she was away," the source adds, "Though it seemed difficult to begin with, considering the fact that housekeeping staff was making regular visits to the room, a closer search revealed that a youngster - who didn't belong to the hotel - had frequented her room a couple of times too."

Vidya sensed that she had seen the man somewhere and after jogging her memory, her suspicion came true. He was none other than a crew member whom she had seen interacting with her co-star Ali Fazal a few times.

"I knew there and then that it was none other than Ali who was playing a prank on me by ganging up with his guys," smiles Vidya, "I too decided to be one up on him and decided to take the game a little further. Instead of spilling the beans, I made them all believe that I was genuinely worried and continued this act for a couple of days. Of course later when I told them to stop their silly acts since I knew it all along, they had no choice but to hide away."

Any regret?

"Well, I just wish the love letter was a little more romantic than graphic. Which woman wouldn't want a few good words that actually touch your heart," she says with a sigh.
