There seems to be no stopping Priyanka Chopra from achieving the heights of success. After taking the Indian circuit by storm, Priyanka soon staked her claim in the world of music and later even ventured into US TV and Hollywood films with Quantico and Baywatch. Now we hear that the actress who recently jetted off to the States to commence work on season 2 of her US TV drama Quantico has been roped in to co-host the United Nation's Global Citizen Festival.
The said music festival that was established in 2012 marked the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals that are broadly aimed at ending global poverty by 2030. To be held at New York's Central Park on September 24, 2016, the festival's lineup will include performers like Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Rihanna, Major Lazer, Usher, Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez among many more on board.

As for hosting the event Priyanka will be joined by popular television host, Seth Meyers, actors Neil Patrick Harris, Usher and Salma Hayek. Talking about the same on twitter Priyanka added, "I'll be joining @usher and @hughcevans this AM on the @Todayshow to make a very special announcement...tune in @ 8.45AM EST!! #globalcitizen". Later adding an image from the Today Show she tweeted, "Being Global Citizens on the @TODAYshow with @usher and @hughcevans ?? "be the change you want to see".
Talking about sharing the hosting stage with Usher, Priyanka posted an image with the musician adding, "So fun "ushering" in the day with you! Lol! Super proud to be hosting #GlobalCitizen with @Usher and so many others!"
