The year 2017 has been a rather tumultuous year for Bollywood releases. However, there have been a few releases that have lived up to the expectation at the box office, and one such film is the recently release Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai.
While the Ali Abbas Zafar directed film continues to do business at break neck speed, in this box office report we take a look at the territory wise top grossers of 2017. Not surprisingly, Tiger Zinda Hai that enjoyed one of the widest releases across 5700 screens worldwide has fast become the second highest grosser in most domestic territories, while the first spot is firmly occupied by the mega release Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that released earlier this year.
While the territory of Mumbai where Tiger Zinda Hai has collected Rs. 94.73 cr leads the list of territorial contributions to the total box office collections of the film, it is followed by Delhi - U.P, East Punjab, Central Punjab, Central India, Rajasthan, Nizam - AP, Mysore, West Bengal, Bihar & Jharkhand, Assam, Orissa, and Tamil Nadu & Kerala. A point to be mentioned here is that in the territory of Tamil Nadu & Kerala Tiger Zinda Hai has emerged as the highest grosser, since Baahubali 2- The Conclusion release within this territory in the Tamil and Telugu versions.
Though Tiger Zinda Hai features within the top three spots in all territories, other films that feature prominently in this list are previous releases like Golmaal Again, Judwaa 2, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha and Raees to name a few.
