The Kabir Khan directed film Tubelight starring none other than Salman Khan released a little over a week ago. The film which was one of the most talked about and keenly anticipated releases, despite enjoying massive hype surrounding it did not perform as expected at the box office.
In this special report we take a look at the collections of Tubelight so far while comparing the same to the highest worldwide grossers of 2017. Released across 5550 screens in the worldwide market Tubelight becomes the second highest worldwide grosser with collections being pegged at Rs. 204.99 cr. However, the collections of Salman Khan’s Tubelight that have been facing an uphill task don’t seem likely to surpass the collections of the previous release which was the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees that collected Rs. 281.44 cr.
On the other hand, Tubelight does manage to surpass other releases like Badrianth Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 200.34 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 193.95 cr, Kaabil that collected Rs. 177.72 cr and Hindi Medium that collected Rs. 102.77 cr.
