The David Dhawan directed film Judwaa 2 starring Varun Dhawan has been on a roll since its release on Friday. After opening to a good response across 3500+ screens within the domestic market the business of the film has seen an upward trend over the weekend with collections steadily increasing.
Now on its fourth day in theatres, living up to expectations Judwaa 2 has managed to draw in a stunning Rs. 18 cr. Though the film enjoyed the added advantage of Monday being a national holiday, the evening and night shows of the film did witness a slight yet perceptible dip in footfalls. However, despite this the holiday mood among the audience propelled the film’s collections during the morning and afternoon shows.
With, Judwaa 2’s Monday collections being pegged at Rs. 18 cr the film has now become the third highest fourth day grosser of 2017. Though the collections of Judwaa 2 do not surpass the collections of previous releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 40.25 cr, and Tubelight that collected Rs. 19.09 cr, Varun Dhawan’s film does manage to surpass the collections of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees that had collected Rs. 15.61 cr and the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil that collected Rs. 13.54 cr on their fourth day.
As of now the four day total box office collections of Judwaa 2 are pegged at a staggering Rs. 77.25 cr. If that wasn’t all considering the fact that the film has a clear run at theatres this week with the only competition coming in from the Saif Ali Khan starrer Chef that hits screens on the coming Friday, Judwaa 2 is expected to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in the coming days.
