In a surprising turn of events, Telugu actress Sreeleela has secured a coveted spot in the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The actress is set to share the screen with the reigning superstar, Allu Arjun, in a special dance number.
As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, a source close to the production revealed, “Allu Arjun is a terrific dancer and very few could match up with him in speed and grace. Sreeleela has been roped for a special song in Pushpa The Rule since she is a very good dancer.”
The source further elaborated, "Sreeleela's electrifying performances in films like Dhamaka and Guntur Kaaram have captivated audiences across the country. Her energetic dance moves in songs like ‘Pulsar Bike’, ‘Jinthak’, and ‘Kurichi Madathapeti’ have become viral sensations."
Initially, there were speculations about various Bollywood actresses, including Tripti Dimri, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor, being considered for the special song. However, the production house clarified that these were mere rumours. "There are lot of speculations and fake names have been making rounds, so the production house has nothing do with it. Being a pan-India movie, they were looking for a popular actress who can also dance and found Sreeleela who aptly fit the bills. Apart from dancing, she is going to make her debut in Bollywood soon," the source explained.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. The film arrives in theatres on December 5, 2024.
