After the release of PS 2, Sobhita Dhulipala pens emotional note; shares throwback BTS photos with Aishwarya Lekshmi : Bollywood News

Sobhita Dhulipala is currently basking under the good reviews of her latest release, Ponniyin Selvan, second part, aka PS 2. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film featured an ensemble cast of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and is set in the Chola Empire era. Recalling her memories, Sobhita took to her social media to share BTS photos from the film’s set and also penned an emotional note as the film hit theatres on Friday.

Sobhita Dhulipala took to Instagram to share a BTS post of her dressed up as Vaanathi. The post also included videos and photos were shot on the last shooting day of PS 1 and PS 2 and also featured her co-star Aishwarya Lekshmi. Sobhita captioned the fun photos and video saying, "Last shooting day of PS1 and 2. Post picture wrap.. Thank you for the love, for the memories, for the honour that it has been. I’m (crying emoji) Romba romba nandri (Thank you so very much)." Followed by the post, her co-star Aishwarya Lekshmi had a quirky comment where she said, “Nooooooooooooooo! This was not supposed to go public.”

Set against the backdrop of the Chola rule, Sobhita Dhulipala essayed the role of Ponniyin Selvan’s wife Vanathi whereas the role of her husband was played by Jayam Ravi. While Aishwarya Lekshmi played the sea woman Poonguzhali, Karthi essayed the role of Chola’s loyal friend Vandiyadevan. Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha Krishnan played siblings of Jayam Ravi, Adithya Karikalan and Kundavai whereas Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essayed the character of Nandini. While PS 1 released in September 2022, PS 2 (final part) released on April 30.

Talking about Sobhita’s upcoming projects, the actress has already been brought on board for Night Manager 2 co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur and along with that she will be seen in Made in Heaven 2 as well as The Monkey Man.
