Chiranjeevi reacts to Mansoor Ali Khan’s remarks about ‘wanting to feature in a bedroom scene’ with Trisha Krishnan

Despite the intervention of NCW and Nadigar Sangam, Mansoor Ali Khan has refused to apologize for his statements.

Mansoor Ali Khan sparked a controversy last week by making some rather distasteful comments about playing villain in Tamil Cinema. The actor, who is known for essaying antagonists, expressed his disappointment over not getting to do any rape scene or bedroom scene with his Leo co-actress Trisha Krishna. His statement led to a massive uproar with even the actress reacting to statements, asserting that she would never share screen space with him. While many other celebs have extended support to her, joining her in this battle is South megastar Chiranjeevi.

Just like Trisha Krishnan, Chiranjeevi also took to social media to share his disappointment over men or actors making such derogatory remarks about women. He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion. I stand with @trishtrashers and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments.”

On the other hand, we hear action too is being taken against Mansoor Ali Khan and as the National Commission for Women as well as Nadigar Sangam (The South Indian Wing for Actors and Entertainment Industry Employees) too have released statements condemning his remarks. However, despite the intervention of so many associations, Mansoor has maintained his stand and refused to apologize for his remarks. He addressed the outrage at a recent interaction wherein he said, “Nadigar Sangam has made a huge mistake. If a problem arises, shouldn’t they at least speak to me to get my side of things before taking a stand? The organisation has to take back its statement within four hours,” He went on to add, “Even heroes commit murder on the screen, but that doesn’t mean they are murdering for real. I only complimented Trisha and I am someone who respects all my co-stars.”
