The NCW took to social media to announce about taking action against Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory remarks against Trisha Krishnan and women.

Earlier this weekend, news reports were abuzz with certain comments about Tamil Cinema’s infamous villain Mansoor Ali Khan which has not gone down well with neither the media nor the team of his recently released film Leo. In fact, his remarks about ‘rape scenes’ and not ‘meeting’ Trisha Krishnan left the latter fuming as the actress vowed not to work with Khan again. On the other hand, the National Commission for Women made a note of the same and has decided to take action against the Leo actor.

The National Commission for Women, which recently showcased its support towards actresses after they expressed their displeasure and disappointment over their deepfakes going viral, has once again come out in support of actress Trisha Krishnan. In fact, they have asserted that they will take action and wrote about it on X, formerly known as Twitter, and said, “The National Commission for Women is deeply concerned about the derogatory remarks made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan towards actress Trisha Krishna. We're taking suo motu in this matter directing the DGP to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws. Such remarks normalize violence against women and must be condemned.”

For the unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan, in a media interaction had spoken about not having scenes with Trisha Krishnan and had said, "When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes in a number of movies and it's not new to me. But these guys didn't even show Trisha to me on the sets during the Kashmir schedule."

Besides Trisha Krishnan, Leo’s director Lokesh Kanagaraj also came in support of the actress. Singer Chinmayi Sripada, who stands up and raises her voice against these issues also penned a long note regarding the interview.
