Adivi Sesh gets ticket price reduced for Major in Hyderabad single screen after fan points out hiked prices : Bollywood News

Adivi Sesh is currently gearing up for the release of the film Major, and on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh plays the role of the late officer who was martyred during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The team of Major had promised that the prices of the tickets for the film has been slashed and made affordable for all.

However, a fan recently took to Twitter to point out how the prices have not been slashed and that a theatre in Hyderabad has been selling tickets at an increased price.

A Twitter user shared a poster where the team of Major had announced reduced prices of tickets in Single Screens and Multiplex of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The poster mentioned that the price of tickets in Single Screens is Rs. 150 and Rs. 147 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, the multiplex tickets were priced at Rs. 195 and Rs. 177 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The Twitter user then shared a screenshot of the ticket price of a single screen in Hyderabad. The 11 am show on June 3 was priced at Rs. 175, which is a Rs.15 hike from the promised Rs. 150.

The Twitter user tagged Adivi Sesh in the post and pointed out how the prices were not slashed in that particular theatre. However, the user also mentioned that they purchased the ticket irrespective of the price.

Adivi took note of the same and informed that he requested the theatre to reduce the price and they agreed to the same. "I requested #Sandhya35MM and they agreed to Rs.150. Thank you to the THEATERS for helping our efforts. We want to make #MajorTheFilm affordable to everyone,” Adivi Sesh wrote in response to the tweet.
