Nicholas Galitzine discussed the physical preparation he undertook to play Prince Adam in Masters of the Universe at the film's UK premiere in London, held following its Brazil premiere. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 5, 2026.

The actor described a training regime that included months of weightlifting, cardio, stunt work, and action choreography. He revealed that his team kept a close record of how much weight he lifted each week throughout the preparation period.
Speaking about the volume of his weekly training, Galitzine said: “So I remember at first we were accumulating the total kilograms that I had lifted throughout the week. One week's worth of weightlifting was 100,000 kg.”
Reflecting on the cumulative scale of his preparation across five months, he added: “So if you want to multiply however many weeks there are in five months, I’d say that’s a few elephants.”
The film is set in the world of Eternia and follows Prince Adam as he confronts the forces of Skeletor. It marks the return of the Mattel franchise to the big screen in live-action format.
Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight and backed by Amazon MGM Studios. The film stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, with Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto. Sony Pictures Releasing International releases the film theatrically on June 5, 2026 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
