The Akshay Kumar – Mallika Dua war that fired up last week, now has Twinkle Khanna coming out in support of her husband. The former actress turned author responded to the controversy by posting a note earlier on social media and now considering that Akshay Kumar has also become a victim of social media jokes, Twinkle also reacted to the same that has been going viral on social media.

Twinkle Khanna recently posted an image featuring two jokes on Akshay Kumar. The puns referred to the recent controversy that the superstar is involved in along with his colleague Mallika Dua. For the uninitiated, comedian Mallika Dua, who recently exited from the reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, that featured Akshay Kumar as the judge slammed the superstar for passing sexist remarks in the pretense of a joke during the show. While the said sequence was never aired, later, the leaked video of Akshay Kumar saying, ‘tumhe bajata hoon’ went viral on social media. Enraged by the comments, Mallika and her father Vinod Dua condemned Akshay’s actions with the Duas accusing the actor of harassment at workplace.

Later on, the battle between the ladies fueled up further when Twinkle Khanna came out in support of her husband as she posted a long note on social media referring to the controversy wherein she maintained that ‘words, especially humor has to be seen in the right context’. On the other hand, Mallika Dua too had posted several such notes on her social media account wherein she stated that ‘this is not about Akshay Kumar but about every big shot who cannot tell the difference between charm and harm.’

While several comedians have come out in support of Mallika Dua, Akshay Kumar is yet to respond to the same.
