Veteran Bollywood star Suniel Shetty has hit back at circulating rumours about his son Ahan Shetty allegedly having a lavish entourage that hurt his career prospects.

In a candid conversation with entertainment Lehren Retro, Suniel firmly dismissed claims that his son’s team or expenses forced producers to rethink working with him. “These are all rumours,” the actor said, emphasising that speculation around Ahan’s entourage was unfounded and unfair. “If a producer has bills to prove anything, bring them forward,” he added, stressing transparency over gossip.
Suniel also shared personal anecdotes to underline his point, revealing that he himself often brings food and water from home to avoid unnecessary costs on film sets. He explained he explicitly instructed his own staff about billing rules so producers aren’t burdened with extra expenses, making it unlikely that Ahan’s team ever misused a production’s budget.
The discussion has resurfaced conversations about Ahan’s career trajectory since his 2021 debut in Tadap under producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The much-anticipated Sanki, which was to reunite Ahan with the same producer, was shelved, and reports linked this to concerns about costs associated with his entourage. Suniel’s comments aim to clear that perception.
