As Border 2 hit theatres on January 23, 2026, the release day carried added emotional weight for Suniel Shetty, who marked the moment by sharing a deeply personal note for his son, Ahan Shetty. The veteran actor took to social media to reflect on the legacy of Border and what the sequel’s release meant to him as both an actor and a father.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series Films and JP Films. Sunny Deol returns as the central protagonist, leading an ensemble cast that includes Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, along with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana in pivotal roles.
