Malaika Arora has finally marked her OTT debut with her show, Moving in With Malaika. As the streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar released the first episode of the show on December 5, it made several interesting revelations. Interestingly, Farah Khan Kunder candidly revealed that not Malaika Arora, but Shilpa Shetty, Shilpa Shirodkar, and 2-3 other actresses were approached for the popular song, ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’.

Speaking of the same, Shilpa Shirodkar shared that she could not feature in the iconic song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ because she was considered ‘too fat’. Elaborating her take, Shirodkar told ETimes, “I was considered for ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. But apparently, they thought I was too fat so they offered it to Malaika. I feel sad that I didn't get a chance to do this iconic number, but I guess it is all destiny.”

As her conversation progressed further, she also confessed to being disappointed as she missed a chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan. For the unversed, the song ‘Chhaiya Chhaiya’ was featured in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dil Se, and was picturised on SRK and Malaika. The song was an instant hit. Talking about the same, Shilpa said, “Obviously, it was disappointing, but then I got the privilege of sharing screen space with him in Gaja Gamini for just one scene. So my dream came true.”

Coming back to the first episode of Moving in With Malaika, the actress also revealed that she is a ‘hard-core romantic’ and all she wants is to be able to make herself and her partner happy. “I don’t feel insecure. Just because I have been through a divorce or something, I am not bitter. I have a lot to feel and I think I have a better person in a relationship. Whatever choices or decisions I made, I made purely and at the end of the day, this man in my life makes me happy. Whatever else the world says, whatever they feel, I don’t care,” she said.
