Rohit Shetty blows up buses in Bol Bachchan

Rohit Shetty is known to blow up cars for his films be it the Golmaal series or Singham, but for his next Bol Bachchan, the director has gone a step ahead and blown up buses too. Rohit has always designed the action scenes for his films and Bol Bachchan despite being a comedy has some crazy action sequences.

Starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan along with Asin and Prachi Desai, it's believed that the action sequences of Bol Bachchan alone cost 40 % of the film's budget. One of the highlights is an action sequence in which a bus is blown up with people (Rohit's team of stuntman and fighters) sitting on it. The scene was shot over a span of 10 days at Film City in Mumbai. The makers had to create an entire bus depot and blow up a bus making it the most expensive sequence Rohit has ever shot. It was an extremely risky sequence and Rohit's team of stuntmen rehearsed for days before actually shooting the scene.

The crew bought a second-hand red Volvo and changed it into a bus. Besides this, there are scenes in the film where trucks, jeeps and cars are blown up in the air. Shetty, who conceptualises and designs the action sequences himself, believes its important to take all kinds of safety measures and the drivers sitting inside the vehicles were trained to keep calm and not get excited or scared while shooting. There was even a medical unit on the set every day in case any accident were to happen but by the grace of God nothing went wrong.
