Actor Rahul Bhat has commenced work on his next project, choosing to begin filming on the occasion of Holi. The actor shared the update on social media along with a reflective note that drew attention for its contrast between celebration and the realities portrayed in his work.
“While the world celebrates #holi in colors, some corners of the world are still stained in blood. Filming today. The irony isn't lost on me,” he wrote, hinting at the tone of the project he is currently shooting.
The new assignment comes after a busy period for Bhat. He recently received appreciation for his performance as Inspector Tomar in Black Warrant, a role that brought him visibility during the awards season. Prior to that, he featured in Kennedy, which earned attention on the festival circuit and among critics.
Bhat is presently working on an upcoming project for Netflix, details of which remain under wraps. Alongside this, he has several films in various stages of production. These include an untitled romantic drama shot in Nainital opposite Dia Mirza, directed by Kanwal Sethi, as well as The Wives, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and co-starring Mouni Roy.
He is also part of the international project Lost & Found in Kumbh, directed by Mayur Puri, and will portray Sanjay Gandhi in Summer of 76, helmed by Sudhir Mishra.
