Pulkit Samrat is set to make his OTT debut with Glory, a Netflix sports drama that sees the actor step into the role of a boxer for the first time. The series places him in a physically demanding and emotionally layered narrative, marking a noticeable shift from the roles he has been associated with in the past.
Speaking about the project, Pulkit described the experience as challenging but rewarding. “The process has been intense, yet addictive,” he said, referring to the physical training and preparation required to portray a professional boxer. He added that the role pushed him beyond familiar territory and demanded a different level of discipline and focus.
Pulkit also reflected on his approach to choosing roles, noting that comfort can often limit growth. “Otherwise, it all turns into formulas. Everyone starts saying, ‘This works, this sells.’ That’s not why we became actors,” he shared, explaining why projects like Glory appeal to him. According to the actor, taking creative risks is essential to keep evolving and to avoid repeating predictable patterns.
Glory is set in the world of competitive boxing and follows veteran coach Raghubir Singh, who is forced to reunite with his estranged sons, Dev and Ravi, after a violent incident disrupts their lives. As Olympic ambitions come into focus, unresolved family conflicts, rivalry, and the pull of revenge shape the story. Pulkit plays one of the sons, a character positioned at the centre of both the emotional and physical conflict.
Created by Karan Anshuman and Karmanya Ahuja, the series is produced by Atomic Films and also stars Divyenndu and Suvinder Vicky in key roles. The show is directed by Karan Anshuman, along with Kanishk Varma, with the screenplay written by Anshuman, Ahuja, and Vaibhav Vishal.
With Glory, Pulkit Samrat adds a sports-driven drama to his body of work and enters the OTT space with a role that relies heavily on transformation and restraint. The series is expected to stream on Netflix, with further details awaited.
