Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have begun the second schedule of Brahmastra abroad. The duo is currently in Bulgaria shooting for their film whilst enjoying some downtime away from India. Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, has a new entrant who happens to a huge South superstar. Nagarjuna is all set to make his comeback in Hindi movies with Ayan Mukerji directorial after 15 years.
This past weekend, Nagarjuna Akkineni joined Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of Brahmastra in Bulgaria. All of them were chilling and enjoying the beautiful summer weather before beginning the work this year. Karan Johar, who is the producer of the film, shared a candid picture of them striking a pose together. Delighted to have the South superstar on board, he wrote, “We are honoured and exceptionally excited to have the one and only @iamnagarjuna doing an extremely “special” role in our film #BRAHMASTRA !! Directed by Ayan Mukerji @SrBachchan @aliaa08 #RanbirKapoor …thank you sir for your love and your beautiful energy!”
According to earlier reports, Nagarjuna is making his return to Bollywood after 15 years since his last stint in LOC Kargil in 2003. The superstar reportedly began shooting from July 10 alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai before heading abroad. The actor was looking forward to work in Hindi films for a long time but was unable to find an interesting project. He finally agreed to do Brahmastra as he liked the project.
Nagarjuna Akkineni has earlier starred alongside Brahmastra co-star Amitabh Bachchan including Khuda Gawah in the year 1992. He made his Bollywood debut in the year 1990 with Shiva. He was last seen in JP Dutta’s multistarrer LOC Kargil.
Ayan Mukerji’s directorial Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy is set for August 15, 2019, release.
