For the first time ever, like, Karan Johar said on the show, this episode of Koffee With Karan 6 featured two cricketers on the show. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, who are amongst the popular names in the Indian cricket team, came together and it was no less than a laughter riot. From their dating shenanigans to team bonding to their personal lives, many different topics were discussed on the show. And how could we miss out the Bollywood connect.
Readers would know that both cricketers have been linked to Bollywood actresses in the past. While names of Esha Gupta, Elli Avram and others have been linked with Hardik Pandya, there were recent rumours about Nidhhi Agerwal and KL Rahul. And not surprisingly, Karan Johar did quiz the duo about their alleged romantic lives. When he asked Rahul about his link-up rumour with Nidhhi Agerwal, the cricketer quite firmly denied any relations and called it just as a coffee meeting with someone he knew from Bengaluru, further asserting that he had met her only once.
Just as he finished his response, it was Karan Johar’s comment which took us by a surprise. He asked, “Do you know most of the times, the paps [paparazzi] are called by us only.” To the same both cricketers added that they weren’t aware of this and often wondered how the media got a whiff of their whereabouts. Karan just confirmed during the episode that this will keep happening if they continue to date or see actresses.
If that wasn’t all, they also had a charged up Rapid Fire Round. During the segment, KL Rahul confessed that if there was one film he would have liked to do in 2018, then it would have been Sanju. On the other hand, Hardik and Rahul too discussed about their Bollywood crushes during the round. Karan blurted out about Rahul’s longtime crush of Malaika. But when Rahul responded that he doesn’t have the same feelings anymore, Karan immediately added to the same with a response, “So now that she is dating Arjun Kapoor, you don’t have any feelings.” Well, did he just CONFIRM their relationship on the show?
Rahul, who seems to be quite in with the Bollywood trend, made another shocking revelation about a movie which he felt was overrated this year. He stated that he wasn’t happy with Dhadak and that left Karan Johar quite speechless for a few moments. Obviously, the filmmaker did go on to mention that he made the film leaving Rahul embarrassed about his response!
The handsome cricketer also revealed that he would like to date Katrina Kaif and would like to start rumour about them dating. WE wonder if Kat has anything to add to it?
Coming to Hardik Pandya and knowing his bindass attitude, undoubtedly there was lot of fire in his response. Knowing his popularity amongst women and his love for Bollywood actresses, he uninhibitedly answered questions. One of them was when he maintained that he would like to take Kareena Kapoor Khan on a date but just a date with no other intentions [considering that she is married]. He also answered Kill Marry HookUp without any hesitance, by stating that he would marry Parineeti Chopra, hook-up with Esha Gupta and kill Urvashi Rautela in his response. He felt that Gold was one of the most overrated movies that released this year. Both the cricketers felt that Arjun Kapoor is one of the most overrated stars in Bollywood.
Although Bollywood references were few, they were feisty and some of them were filled with wit and humour. And for all cricket fans, the episode will definitely leave you with a smile.
