Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan eagerly anticipates the release of her next project, Crew. The actress recently shared insights into her journey and perspective on age and roles in a candid interview with ABP News.

Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up about embracing aging; says, “I don’t want to ever be a 21-year-old again”

Reflecting on her evolution, Kareena emphasized embracing her age and the contentment it brings. The actress said, “Today the audience has become accepting. Age is just a number, it’s as old as you look, you have to be fit, you have to look good, because it’s a visual medium so we have to look after ourselves. I don’t want to ever be a 21-year-old again, I’m very happy. At 21, I was so much more hyper, and anxious and I’m much calm, and I’m in a happy place in my 40s.”

Furthermore, Kareena acknowledged the shifting dynamics in the film industry, particularly the prominence of female actors in commanding significant roles. She said, “I think it has changed because a lot of strong women have done a lot of strong parts in films. They have done films that have been loved by the audiences, by the masses, by the film people, by critics, and at the box office. So, whether it’s leading actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone or myself, we’ve always tried to stand for roles that have risen above just being there in the film. So, all has changed a lot of dynamics on many levels, like demanding a certain role, a certain fee, or position.”

On the film front, last year, Kareena Kapoor Khan ventured into the digital realm with the mystery film Jaane Jaan. Her upcoming project, Crew, promises to showcase Kareena's comedic flair as she embodies the role of a witty air hostess alongside co-stars Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, Crew is slated for release on March 29, 2024, and the teaser hints at a delightful cinematic experience. Additionally, Kareena is set to feature in Rohit Shetty's highly anticipated cop universe film, Singham Again. Sharing the screen with an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff, Kareena's involvement added to the excitement surrounding the project.
