While the war between Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut has intensified with even more allegations being thrown towards the producer, the actress has been facing backlash from some netizens. One of them recently lashed out on the actress and even took a jibe at one of her earlier interviews where she stated that she is not only a non-vegetarian but also a beef eater. However, the same didn’t go down well with the actress’ PR team who didn’t take it lying down and responded to the tweet.

One of the netizens posted an old interview of Kangana Ranaut where the actress had confessed that she had tried beef for the first time because her mother had asked to refrain from it. Kangana has always maintained that she is a rebel and the fact that her mother asked her not to do something made her want to do it even more. The actress was quoted in this report saying, “The day I left my house, my mom said, I want you to make only one promise. She said, ‘We are Hindus, so please don’t eat beef.’ Since then I was eager to try it. I thought there must be something about beef which is why mom said, don’t try it. So I tried it, I liked it and now I am a regular beef eater.”

The said troller shared this post saying, “#KanganaRanaut The shame on humanity. The shame on which religion she is belonging... Shame on being a girl... bcz she is the rsn why the character of a good girl is also suspected as a stalker #NationalShameKangana.” Jumping into action, the PR team of Kangana Ranaut also decided to respond to this tweet wherein they stated that Kangana Ranaut has been a vegetarian since 8 years now. They said, “There is nothing wrong with eating beef or eating any other meat. It's not about religion! It's not a hidden fact that Kangana turned vegetarian 8 years ago and chose to be a yogi. She still doesn’t believe in just one religion. On the contrary, her brother eats meat. It doesn’t make him less Hindu then Kangana. We aren't in the medieval age; today one can form their own religion and follow.”
