With Pankaj Tripathi playing the lead role, the plot of Kadak Singh has garnered ample curiosity among movie buffs. The film, which is expected to have a digital release this week, is said to revolve around the journey of a Financial Crimes officer diagnosed with retrograde amnesia. Recently, filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury opened up about the film wherein he explained where he would want to see the movie in the broader landscape of Indian cinema.

Describing Kadak Singh and revealing about pushing boundaries, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury said, “The script brings a unique perspective to life. As a director, claiming what's good or the best is subjective; it's for the audience to explore. The recent screening at IFFI received positive feedback, with many considering it akin to an international film. Our focus is on honesty, authenticity, and real performances which stands out. The brilliant interplay of acting, camerawork, and sound reflects our collective effort. We aimed for authenticity, pushing boundaries with honesty, innocence, and simplicity in storytelling—key elements that resonate with people.”

Furthermore, he also explained the role of music in the film as he added, “In filmmaking, Shantanu and I share a rhythm; he knows my desires, I know his vibes. From Mehtab's sitar magic to Shreya and Papon's musical wizardry, every note in Kadak Singh is a brushstroke in our artistic canvas. Sound, for me, is like daily raag therapy, keeping worries at bay. Collaborating with Shantanu is not just about hearing, but feeling—the music, the poetry, the perfect blend. In this art, honesty and happiness in the eyes of our team beat any commercial score. Making Kadak Singh wasn't a thought, it was a melody we hummed every day.”

Kadak Singh is also expected to star Parvathy Thiruvothu, Sanjana Sanghi, Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan, Paresh Pahuja, among others and is slated for release on December 8 on ZEE5.
