Reports of the team of Ramayana beginning work on the film’s second part have been doing the rounds in recent days. Adding to the buzz, actress Indira Krishna, who is reportedly playing Kaushalya, the mother of Lord Ram in the film, recently shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets featuring Ranbir Kapoor.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Indira posted a photo with Ranbir from the shoot and reflected on the craft of acting in the caption. “Here u go... The three imp tools for any actor is lived experience, imagination and empathy - Scott Freeman. Do I hv to say more... (sic),” she wrote.
The actress also praised Ranbir Kapoor, adding, “Love u RK / kp shining ur one actor whose mersmerising performance has stolen every show. Had such a lovely day with you.. thank u once again fr the tips it showed me thru... See u soon (sic).”

Indira has previously worked with Ranbir in Animal.
Soon after the post went online, fans flooded the comments section with reactions. One user wrote, “Cant wait see magic you both created in Ramayana (sic).” Another commented, “Can't wait to meet kushalya (sic).”
The development comes weeks after images of Ranbir Kapoor from the sets of Ramayana surfaced online and went viral. The photos, which first appeared on Reddit, showed the actor dressed in traditional attire and holding a bow while filming, with crew members seen nearby carrying umbrellas and production equipment.
The project is being produced by Namit Malhotra, who has previously stated in interviews that the two-part adaptation of the epic is being mounted on a budget of approximately $400–500 million, making it one of the most expensive Indian film ventures to date. However, the makers have not issued any official statement regarding the leaked images.
The film is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026.
