HISTORIC! Dhurandhar 2 sells Rs. 4 crore worth tickets in just 2 hours; could become the first film to hit 1 lakh tickets in 24 hours organically

The biggest film of Indian Cinema, Dhurandhar 2 opened on Saturday morning after the trailer went live, and the response is historic to say the least. In less than 2 hours, the film has sold nationwide tickets worth Rs. 4 crore, and as we type, the sales are just increasing at a rapid pace. This is the advance for just the opening day alone.

Of this, Rs. 2.50 crore has come in from the top 3 national chains - PVRInox and Cinepolis - and the remainder has come from other centers. The film is selling tickets at a record pace, with over 10,000 tickets being sold per hour on the leading ticket-selling platform, Book My Show.

The advance booking in terms of ticket sold stands at 35,000 tickets in national chains - PVRInox Cinepolis - and is headed to clock an all-time high with 1 lakh plus sales in 24 hours. Dhurandhar 2 could emerge the first ever film to hit pre-sales of over 1 lakh in 24 hours at the national chains, scoring history and a record that could stand for years to come, outside of films that have bookings that are boasted by fan shows and corporate bookings. To make things clear, no film has organically clocked 1 lakh plus tickets within 24 hours of tickets going on sale.

The pre-sales are completely ORGANIC and speak volumes of the EUPHORIA around Dhurandhar 2, which easily is the most hyped film of Indian Cinema since Baahubali 2. Dhurandhar 2 is tracking to hit Rs. 20 crore on the paid previews, and once the sales open for the first day, a Rs. 100 crore start seems to be on cards.
