Even though Mallika Sherawat is not very keen on signing Bollywood projects, the actress definitely knows how to stay in news! After being associated with some charity causes, she has recently taken some time off to Europe. And the location on her list is Amsterdam.
However, this is not just a pleasure trip. She is in Amsterdam to visit the headquarters of the NGO 'Free-A-Girl' which she is actively part of. In the past, the actress has been a part of several initiatives that was organized by this NGO. Amidst all the work commitments, the actress also decided to explore some picturesque and exotic locales of Amsterdam too.

Mallika, we hear, had chalked out a plan to visit some of the famous tourist attractions while in the city. One of the major highlights and famous attractions of Amsterdam on her itinerary was the Tulip Fields Garden. Needless to say, the actress was thrilled to see the location.
Did you know? Amsterdam has also been a popular tourist destination amongst Bollywood films and many films have had this location as their backdrop. One amongst them is the famous love story of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. We are talking about Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge aka DDLJ. Many of its sequences have been shot in the cultural capital of the Netherlands.
Interestingly, Mallika too has been a fan of the film like many other Bollywood buffs. So when she visited the city, some of her itinerary featured locations that will take her back to the 90s film.
Sharing her experience on the same, Mallika Sherawat said, "Ever since I watched 'DDLJ', I fell in love with the film and the exotic locations shown in that film. It had always been my dream to take a stroll down the Tulip Fields Garden showcased in the film. I'm glad that I finally headed there for real and experienced its beauty."
Sources close to the actress claim that this certainly has been one of the most enjoyable and pleasurable work trips for the renowned actress.
