Besides being an actor, Kajol is among those few celebrities who seem to be quite avid social media users. However, in reality, she is not. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kajol revealed that she is not an avid social media user.

When mentioned that her daughter Nysa has already come a celeb with paps constantly clicking her, Kajol was asked what she consumes on Instagram. In the response, Kajol asserted, “I'm not an avid social media. I'm not one of those people who will sit for hours. I'd rather read my book.”

She further added, “So I'd rather read my book and chill. But yes, I do go through it regularly just to see what’s going on. My feed through it is more about things that I would like to read. There is lots of philosophy, lots of workout videos. That's the kind stuff I watch on Instagram. 90% times I don’t even know what’s happening.”

Speaking of her character Noyonika Sengupta in The Trial, she asserted, “She's at that place where she's extremely vulnerable and she really has nowhere to turn. There really is nothing for her to do. She has to get out and find a job for herself. That's where she starts off and she suddenly comes into a world where she realizes that everybody is ahead of her. All the people her age are much ahead of her much more well-established and she's working with people who are much younger than her.”

The Trial, helmed by Suparn Verma, is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 14.
