Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is currently promoting Gadar 2. The actress, who made her debut with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, has witnessed her fair share of ups and downs in her career. The actress recently spoke about how the industry functions and that there were times she had to take cuts in the payment but lead heroes got paid fully.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel spoke about the times she let go of money. “There are times when get paid before dubbing and after the dubbing. Then, they come to you or any actor and say, ‘Please take it after the release. There will be money that will come after the release’. Even when the films sometimes have done well, they still ask you to cut your payment. And, out of relationships, I have done it for all. Even for successful films I have not taken my payment for, leaving the unsuccessful ones. But, with cooperates coming in, it's ofcourse better and much more organised.

She added, “What used to happen is that most of the films are made by independent producers who borrow money at a very high-interest rate. The films go over budget; they maybe want to put it on a set or somewhere else. The maximum beating is taken by the heroines because the heroes will still get it. That is another thing that should be controlled. Don’t give us as much as the heroes, that’s fine but give us what you promised us.”

In recent times, how Gadar 2 director had not paid the staff of the team. Ameesha took to Twitter and wrote, “Another concern of fans has been about certain incidents regarding Anil Sharma Productions to have taken place in regards to the final schedule of Gadar 2 that took place end May in Chandigarh!!” She added, “There were certain queries that many technicians like makeup artists, costume designers and others etc. did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from Anil Sharma Productions!! Yes, they did not!! But @ZeeStudios_ stepped in and made sure all dues were settled as they are a very professional company!”

The actress further added, “Yes from accommodation, to transport to Chandigarh airport on the final day to food bills were left unpaid and cars were not provided to certain cast and crew members leaving them stranded! But yet again @zeestudios stepped in and corrected these issues caused by Anil Sharma Productions!!!”

Ameesha also said, “All involved in the film are aware that the production of Gadar 2 was being handled by Anil Sharma Productions, which unfortunately misfired numerous times but @ZeeStudios_always rectified issues!! A special thanks to them especially Shariq Patel, Neeraj Joshi, Kabeer Ghosh and Nischit!! This Zee team is top-notch (thumbs-up emojis).”

Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel is now gearing up for the release of Gadar 2, a sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Produced by Zee Studios and helmed by Director-Producer Anil Sharma, the movie stars Sunny Deol, and Utkarsh Sharma. The movie is slated to release in cinemas on 11th August 2023.
