Bollywood stars walking down the ramp have always been on our top list of shows to witness. Lakme Fashion Week has been one of the most glamorous and extravagant fashion events where our favourite celebs walk down the ramp in beautiful and most desirable clothes from top designers. Divya Khosla Kumar walked the runway at Lakme Fashion Week 2022 on March 27th for designer Sejal Kamdar. This year's event took place in Delhi, and the actress looked magnificent.

She wore an off-white lehenga with an embroidered jacket and went down the runway in designer Sejal Kamdar's designs. The actress was mesmerising as she strolled down the runway, her gorgeous smile lighting up the occasion. Her look was completed with minimal jewellery and a bun topped with gajra, as well as subtle makeup.

The celestial shapes of the universe can be an exciting inspiration. Sejal Kamdar’s “Galaxies 2022” line at the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week was modern, minimal with earthy aesthetics but rooted in the Indian ethos. Large doses of the Kutch block printing were evident along with Ajrakh. Screen and hand printing too was carefully executed to achieve the heavenly effect on the fabrics. The traditional spiral printing art was visible, thus turning the fabrics into visual delights.

Classic traditional silhouettes were given an innovative creative push by adding structured peplums as well as well-tailored jackets, fluid pants, contemporary lehengas, jumpsuits and draped sculpted dresses.

The fabric story matched the ethereal inspiration, as natural crêpe; gajji silk, pure satin, crêpe georgette, Mashru silk, mulmul and organza played a perfect fashion medley. Adding some wonderful eye-catching embellishments, Sejal included metal detailing, Kat-Dana sequins, crystal beads and then completed the look with beadwork to add a subtle sheen.

Colours were a symphony of hues with crème, off-white, black, cobalt blue, maroon and red creating a vibrant shade card. Surface ornamentation was the final design element that Sejal added to her Celestine line. Detailed patchwork was achieved with the aid of leftover fabrics that were embellished with thread and pipework.

Ending the show was the very graceful Divya Khosla Kumar who looked demure in khaki, embroidered, paneled lehenga, ornate choli, and heavily embellished poncho.

Aimed at the wedding festivities, the “Galaxies 2022” collection by Sejal Kamdar was the ideal offering to brides who long for memorable bridal attire.

"The collection was inspired by the celestial shapes in the universe, and we have tried to amalgamate modernism and minimalist aesthetics into the alluring culture of India.
