Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a regular at Cannes for more than a decade. Being the brand ambassador of the cosmetics major L’Oréal Paris, the actress has walked the red carpet of the prestigious Film Festival on several occasions. Considering that she has been associated with the brand for 15 years, L’Oréal Paris planned a special surprise for the actress during her recent Cannes appearance.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has wowed us with two red carpet appearances in Michael Cinco’s infinity gown and a Rami Kadi creation, also attended a special show during the Cannes appearance. We had earlier reported that she will be sharing the stage with none other than Hollywood veteran Helen Mirren in The Worth It show.
While we had also mentioned that the duo will answer questions from the audiences as well as speak on the importance of women in cinema, what we didn’t know about was a special surprise that was being planned. As mentioned earlier, L’Oréal celebrated the 15th year of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as their brand ambassador with a special cake cutting ceremony.
We got a glimpse of the ceremony on the official Facebook page of the cosmetics major and here’s sneak peek. The cake was indeed a massive one filled with lipsticks. With the arrival of the cake and confetti burst, the actress was indeed taken aback and thrilled.
As for the show, we hear that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also spoke about motherhood. The actress revealed that she has been rediscovering her childhood with her daughter. She went on to advice that while there are no rule books to parenting, one should respect the fact that even though they are children, they have a mind of their own. Interestingly, her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan too had accompanied her mother for Cannes.
In fact, apart from this, Aishwarya also spoke about her sudden decision of joining social media. Although she maintained that she was never keen on exploring the platform, she decided to be a part of it after receiving many requests from fans.
