BTS’ fifth concept photos from ‘BE’ features Jin as he reminds everyone how important it is to cherish yourself

BTS is only a few weeks away from the release of their next studio album, 'BE (Deluxe Edition)'. Each member has participated in the album from the scratch. Since the album was made during the quarantine period, it has more personal touch as the members want to convey their messages and how they've felt in the past few months. In October, they began early promos with a group concept photo, followed it with special handwritten postcards dedicated to their fans (called ARMY), dropped unique concept videos (mirror and reflection). Now, Big Hit Entertainment has been releasing solo concept photos of the members showcasing what they have curated. Each room is a reflection of the member and exudes their vibe. After the members V, Jimin, RM, and Jungkook, the next member to discuss his room is Jin.

Jin, real name Kim Seokjin, invites the fans into his room and explains why he curated in this way. "Hello, welcome to Jin's room. I am the curator, Jin. The point of this room which is bedecked with gems is that you can never tell what is a jewel and what isn't. When I first stepped into this room, I was immediately shocked and overwhelmed by the sight of this huge gemstone, but it turns out it was all along. Aren't you absolutely mesmerized by the largest gem in this room, too? Have you perhaps forgotten along the way, that each and every one of you is a unique and precious gem? Never forget to cherish yourself, and always remember you are a sparkling gem, and always remember to sparkle with confidence just like me."

Then, he decodes the outfit that he has worn. Sitting on a lavender couch surrounded by a chandelier and gemstones, Jin went onto explain why he opted for this very look. "I chose silk pants that perfectly go with all the sparkle, a nightgown, and slippers to make myself absolutely comfortable in a room full of precious stones. Don't I look completely at home?" he adds.

Then, he further says, "What objects in this room do you think best represent me? There is this lavender sofa, crystal chandelier, and more, but the best is myself. Look how perfect I am, sitting in my room, shining bright like a precious stone."

The pastel tone of the room is such a Jin vibe but most importantly all of them are in different shades of purple - in a way dedicated to the ARMY. During the UN Speech 2020, Jin emphasized on the importance of cherishing ourselves, always. “Thinking about the future and trying hard are all important. But cherishing yourself, encouraging yourself, and keeping yourself happy is the most important," he said. His room is pretty serene and royal. While there is a crystal chandelier and gemstones in the room, the focal point is Kim Seokjin, himself. In these times of uncertainty, it is very important to give yourself a break every now and then and encourage up the idea of 'self-love'.

Jin is trying to tell the same thing while looking extremely ethereal. He is the eldest member of BTS and has a huge part to play when it comes to taking care of all his six members. In return, they care for him too. But, he has never forgotten how important it is to 'Love Yourself' which is also the message they have given through their albums. It is as simple as that. You can't take care of others until you devote time to yourself. As 'Life Goes On', once you understand the importance of self-care and cherish yourself, you move forward in life with so much warmth and compassion for others. Jin's message behind this room truly resonates with everyone as sometimes we do tend to forget our importance.

BTS will release 'BE (Deluxe Edition)' on November 20, 2020, with title track 'Life Goes On'.
