Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer Dhoom 2 had become the highest-grossing movie of 2006. Interestingly, it was also the highest-grossing Bollywood movie ever at the time of its release. On November 24, the action-thriller turned a year older, and to mark its 16th anniversary, choreographer Shiamak Davar took to his social media handle and treated fans with two throwback pictures.

In the first picture, Davar was seen posing for the camera along with Hrithik and Aishwarya, decked up in their respective characters for the film. Meanwhile, in the second still, Hrithik and Shiamak can be seen shooting for the title track of the film. Instagramming the photo, Davar wrote a caption, which read, “6 years as Director of Choreography for #Dhoom2,” followed by a heart emoticon.

He further added, “What amazing memories and kudos to #ArjunSablok for directing the song, what a masterpiece!” The stills made many netizens nostalgic as they flooded the comments section with heart-eye emoticons. While a section of them called it “iconic”, actor Priyank Sharma commented, “The best till date,” along with a red heart emoji.

Interestingly, in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, actor Abhishek Bachchan was asked about the best Dhoom franchise movie that he enjoyed as a viewer. In his response, he quickly said, “Dhoom 2”.

For the unversed, released in 2006, Dhoom 2 is a sequel to the 2004 film Dhoom. The film also featured Bipasha Basu in a pivotal role.

While Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their roles Jai Dixit and Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai played Aryan Singhania aka Mr A and Sunehri respectively. The Sanjay Gadhvi directorial, produced under the banner of YRF, received a positive response from the critics as well as the audience.
