After last week's non-performer ACTION JACKSON, this week too, the audience seem to be in a fix with uninteresting releases BADLAPUR BOYS and MAIN AUR MR. RIIGHT. Though neither of the two releases was expected to start on a high note, reports suggest that the opening for both have been hovering in the single digit domain.
While the dismal openings of BADLAPUR BOYS and MAIN AUR MR. RIGHT is being attributed to the rather non-exciting story and the lack of big star names coupled with low key promotions, ACTION JACKSON that failed to live up to audience expectations has also dropped further. On the other hand, the Hollywood release, HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES, the third part in the HOBBIT series is expected to do well over evening and night shows. However it is the Tamil and Telugu versions of the Rajinikanth starrer LINGAA that has been doing brisk business.
On the whole, with no big hit after HAPPY NEW YEAR, and the subsequent letdown with ACTION JACKSON, not forgetting the slow releases in between, all eyes are on the Aamir Khan - Anushka Sharma starrer PK that is slated for release next week.
