The Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 released in December 2021, and since then the film has been unstoppable at the box office. Despite a sluggish start, the business of the film saw a massive increase in collections over its second and third week running, and still continues to draw in the audience. In fact, the performance of the film in both mass dominated single screen sectors and multiplex going regions has surprised everyone. If that wasn’t all, Pushpa that released on OTT streaming platform a while back has still managed to retain a hold over theatre going audience.
Now, on February 4, Pushpa completed 50 days running at the box office. Currently on Day 55, Pushpa has managed to draw in Rs. 102.39 cr. While over the past few days the business of the film has been slowing down considerably, the film still enjoys a clear run at the ticket window. Interestingly, on its release Pushpa: The Rise faced stiff competition from other releases viz. the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 and the Hollywood giant Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite fierce competition Pushpa emerged as a dark horse at the box office, holding its own and enticing the audience.
Given the current trending of the film, and the fact that Pushpa is likely to see competition arise from the new releases in the coming week, expectations are that the business of the film will slow down further. However, with a week till the next release Gehraiyaan hits screens, predictions state that Pushpa could well see a couple of more crores added to its overall collections.
