The team of Raaz (2002) is back with Vikram Bhatt and Bipasha Basu returning to the franchise ! Raaz 3 is the latest installment in the Raaz Franchise ! Raaz is one of the finest Horror movies of bollywood and even Raaz 2 was an engaging spooky tale ! a good horror movie is which sends chills down your spine, scares the living daylights out of you and engage you till the last frame ! unfortunately Raaz 3 doesn't stand too strong on these elements ! it has a very interesting story with ample amount of drama and chills in it but its the shoddy screenplay that spoils the show ! also the movie is very low on horror quotient ! in fact in some horror scenes the viewer bursts out laughing because of the childish execution ! the first half is better than second half ! the first half has ample scenes to keep you hooked but the second half is a complete letdown ! barring the cockroach scene there's not much in the second half ! the climax is a big letdown ! dialogues are good but over the top at places ! background score is effective ! the 3D effects are good but not anything extraordinary ! cinematography is good ! Vikram Bhatt disappoints again after his last outing 'Dangerous Ishq' ! i would rate '1920' and 'Haunted 3D' as his better works than Raaz 3 ! Raaz 3 stands no where when compared to Raaz (2002) ! the main plus point of Raaz 3 is Bipasha Basu's performance ! She takes giant strides as an actor with Raaz 3 ! be it the helplessness at the initial portions or be the commanding lady later in the movie , she is just outstanding ! Raaz was a turning point of her career and surely Raaz 3 is a new fresh phase of her career ! The scene at the interval point will sweep you off your feet and make your realize the immense talent this lady possesses ! on the other hand , Emraan Hashmi is relegated to the backseat this time ! he pitches in a very sincere and a honest performance !
Esha Gupta is awkward at many places and surely she needs to work on her acting skills ! Manish Choudhary is terrific ! Mohan Kapoor is alright ! overall, Raaz 3 only has a superlative performance of Bipasha Basu to salvage the show ! Disappointing !
