Om Shanti Om
Overall Om Shanti Om is a good flim. Yes its just "good". There is nothing so special about it. The presentation is fabulous, the story-line is ok and it seems the cast and the crew had a blast making this movie.
But as a fan of bollywood movies and a movie maker myself i was disappointed in the movie. The movie was not that special, the first part made me laugh and made me exicited but after the rebirth part, the movie slowed down to a 0 velocity, i was waiting for the movie to be over.
The story could have been change a little bit, for example the shanti priya look-alike in 2007 should have been a work of plastic surgery. this was only thing i disagreed with in the movie otherwise everything else is fine.
Deepika steals the show here, she is just fabulous. I have been a SRK fan since my childhood and even if he does the bad job i would still like his work. But i was a little disappointed, it seemed to me as if he was bored doing these kinds of role over and over again. Like his other movies his performance didn't make me feel what the character felt. He performed according to the script and the blame doesn't go to him, its the writer should have done a better job. Pappu master is awesome in the movie but his role lacks importance in the second half. Kiron kher is good. Arjun Rampal is awesome, he is just perfect for the role.
and other actors are good.
The major flaw in OSO is its script, especially the second half of the movie should have been written better. The scene where OK remembers his past life and goes back to his mom, seems like a scene of no great value to the move. Also the end should have been a little more action-packed, but this is not a big problem.
Overall OSO is a good movie. It didn't turn out to be as good as it was hyped. And the only flaw of the movie was the second half where everything just slows down completely. But this is just my personal opinion, so don't take my word for it and go and watch it and decide it for yourself.
