Vijay Anthony starrer Tamil thriller Kolai releases on Prime Video
Exploring the genre of mystery thriller furthermore, Vijay Antony, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ritika Singh, and Radhika Sarathkumar came together for an intriguing film in the genre, titled Kolai. The Tamil film, which released on July 21, is now all set to release on OTT and Amazon Prime Video has bagged the rights of this entertainer. In fact, the film released on the platform on August 18 and will be exclusively streaming on the platform.
Kolai, directed by Balaji K. Kumar, is a riveting whodunit that is expected to keep the audience at the edge of their seats until the very end. When a popular model & singer - Laila (Meenakshi Chaudhary) is found dead under strange circumstances, IPS Sandhya Mohanraj (Ritika Singh) and former investigative officer Vinayak (Vijay Antony) are tasked with the responsibility of solving the gruesome crime. A series of surprising details unfold in this intricate web of mystery and thrill, as viewers are drawn into a puzzling world of Kolai.
In an earlier interview, Vijay Anthony had explained his point of view as an actor and how he was keen on creating a brand. The actor, who is also a musician, opened up about how he listens to script as a common man and not as an actor or a producer. He also had spoken about wanting to be a part of good films, and he wanted to be responsible for getting some impressive stories out of cans.
Speaking of Kolai, the film received mixed reviews, but it is expected to do well on OTT owing to its genre which is quite popular on these platforms. The film is now available to stream on Prime Video in India, along with 240 countries and territories.
