Skanda: Ustaad Ram Pothineni and Sreeleela groove to the massy folklore ‘Gandarbai’.

Ustaad Ram Pothineni has collaborated with popular filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu for the highly anticipated mass action entertainer Skanda which is getting ready for release next month. While the makers unveiled audio of a couple of numbers recently, they once again gave audiences another glimpse of yet another peppy track, featuring the leading man with his heroine Sreeleela.

The song in question is titled ‘Gandarbai’ which is a massy folklore with dance beats, that is sung by Hanuman and Ramya Behra. While the music is composed by renowned music director S Thaman, the lyrics is written by Ritesh G Rao. Recently the makers unveiled a glimpse of the same which features Ram Pothineni and Sreeleela doing some groovy steps. A source close to the film opened up about the latest audio release of ‘Gandarbai’ saying, “The composer S Thaman wanted to add folk elements to compose this number with full-on massy rhythmic beats. He wanted the mood and tempo to be upbeat. And add to that the vocals of Ramya and Hanuman with Ritesh’s lyrics has definitely helped the number”. Along with that the makers are also expected to have dedicated quite a bit of time in designing the perfect costume for Ram and Sreeleela.

 

 

Talking about the crew for the film, Santosh Detake has handled the camera work for the film whereas Tammiraju is the editor for the film. Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi on a massive budget with high production values and top-notch technical standards under Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner, Skanda is presented by Zee Studios South and Pavan Kumar. It is all set to release theatrically on September 15, 2023 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
