Samantha Ruth Prabhu resumes shoot of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Kushi

Samantha Ruth Prabhu left her fans shocked when she announced about suffering from an autoimmune disease. Followed by her post on being diagnosed with Myositis, the actress had taken a break from the ongoing shoot schedules and it was only recently did she resumed her work post her treatment. While reports stated that the actress was wrapping up Citadel, now we hear that the actress has shifted her focus to the impending Telugu film Kushi, co-starring Vijay Deverakonda.

A source close to the actress confirmed the recent developments adding that the actress received a warm welcome from everyone. “Samantha has resumed her Telugu film shooting for the first time after recovering from Myositis. She is back to full health now as she has got back to the sets of Vijay Deverakonda's Kushi today. Mythri Movie Makers, who are producing the film orchestrated a grand welcome back to Samantha today, which also coincided with Women's Day.”

 

From what we hear, a cake cutting celebration was held to wish Samantha on the occasion of Women's day and also, to commemorate her completing 13 years in the Telugu film industry. Present at the ceremony was the leading man Vijay Deverakonda, the director Shiva Nirvana, and the producers who wished Samantha on the occasion.

 

 

Now that the shooting for Kushi has resumed, we hear that the schedule will progress at a brisk pace. The film is being promoted as a romantic drama and the makers are expected to reveal more details about it very soon.

 

Besides this, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has the release of her other Telugu film Shaakuntalam which will be releasing in multiple languages, in the pipeline for release next month. She also has the much talked about Amazon Prime Video series Citadel alongside Bollywood star Varun Dhawan.
