South actor Siddharth called out the men who worked in the cinema business for promoting illogical body image by consuming steroids. He bashed them for creating a wrong perception among people who go gaga over the six-pack abs of the hero and become a popular figure among the masses. But the reality is contrasting as the actors consume steroids to get the desired body and mislead the fans and audiences. This practice leads to low confidence and negative body image in men who look upon such actors for inspiration.

He further feels that the viral trend of having toned muscles and body is very risky and increases unhealthy practices among the youth. The actor also feels it is not required to be a part of such activities as most celebs beef up their bodies with steroids to look great onscreen. It is not hidden from anyone and the most common practice in the industry, but it is not spoken freely.

 

On 12th July, the Chashme Baddoor star, Siddharth expressed his opinion further by uploading the post featuring the bare body of veteran wrestler and actor, Dara Singh. He called Dara Singh the true icon of Indian cinema who is a true example of body positivity. He also indirectly slammed other stars for their unhealthy personas. Expressing his disbelief Siddharth wrote, “This is how real strong men in cinema used to look back in the day. Today you see exaggerated fantasies that look nothing like what a body should. And achieved with steroids and growth hormones to boot. Remembering real #DaraSingh. Work out. Don't sell out. #BodyImage #Reality”

 

 

 

Twitteratis strongly agreed with him and spoke about misleading and dangerous tactics of heroes to lure the public. They also trolled celebrities for keeping dual faces, where one side they motivate healthy habits and on other side they create artificial body type.
