The anticipation among fans has reached its peak as the much-awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil and helmed by Sukumar, gears up for its grand unveiling. After a prolonged wait, enthusiasts are finally on the brink of experiencing the fervour of Pushpa Raj, with the teaser which dropped at 11:07 AM on April 8. There's a significance behind it. Today marks Allu Arjun's 42nd birthday and Bollywood Hungama was the first to break the news that the teaser for the much-awaited sequel will drop on his birthday along with a new poster.

The teaser blows you over with its sheer grandeur, colours and scale. Audiences’ beloved Pushparaj can be seen in an unbelievable yet powerful avatar exuding swag and intensity in every shot. To top things off, DSP’s music compliments the teaser with its intense beats and heart-racing background music. The teaser features the Jaathara sequence from the film. Jaathara, also known as Sammakka Saralamma Jaathara, is a festival to honour the Hindu Tribal goddesses, celebrated in the state of Telangana, India. Each year more than 10 million devotees visit this 4 day festival.

 

Director Sukumar has recreated this Jaathara in the film and the teaser is just a glimpse of the grand and nuanced sequence. The beauty of this sequence lies in its rootedness and the colour play that the director has beautifully portrayed.

 

In a recent social media update, the makers unveiled a new mass poster featuring Allu Arjun, also known as Pushpa Raj, wielding an axe with sheer intensity. Accompanying the poster was a caption that resonated with the theme of triumph over adversity, hinting at the formidable journey the protagonist has undergone. Allu Arjun himself took to his social media platforms to share the electrifying poster, further amplifying the excitement among fans.

 

Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film will be released on August 15, 2024.
